Joey Fatts Returns With “Born Again” — A West Coast Gem Featuring Vince Staples & Blxst

Long Beach, CA rapper Joey Fatts has proven himself to be one of the most consistent artists coming out of the West Coast. He’s back again with another body of work, Born Again, a 7-track EP that marks his second release of the year following Blood In My Eye.

This time around, Joey keeps things tight and focused, collaborating only with frequent collaborators Blxst and Vince Staples both of whom add their signature flair to the project.

One of the clear highlights, “Corporate Thuggin’” featuring fellow Long Beach native Vince Staples, dropped ahead of the full EP as a visual and immediately set the tone for what fans could expect.

My personal standouts include “Veneeda Carter” featuring Blxst, “Old Days,” and my favorite cut from the project, “459.” Each track stays true to the raw, street-rooted sound Joey Fatts has built his name on, blending authenticity with growth.

Overall, Born Again is a solid offering that reinforces why Joey Fatts remains one of the most respected voices in LA’s underground scene.
