Grammy nominated artist Fridayy dropped one of the biggest tracks of the year with his newly released single “Proud Of Me”. Featuring Meek Mill, the song has gone viral on social media, in particular due to Meek Mill’s feature verse (which many people are saying is verse of the year).
Fridayy and Meek Mill speak on the loses of their loved ones and having to deal with those loses as they navigate life. “Proud Of Me” is extremely relatable for any one that has dealt with the lost of someone close to them. Fridayy’s opening verse sets the tone for the entire song. Filled with pain as he reflects on words left behind by his brother that he holds on to, until this day or the fact that his success can make his father proud.
While Fridayy’s opening’s verse was great, Meek undoubtedly stole the show with his feature. Meek harped on his how his father’s loss still affects him until this day. As stated before, the song resonates with many people which is why it’s #3 trending on Youtube for music.
