Atlanta-based artists, Trackhwk & Kenarri have individually been making a lane for themselves with their own distinct styles. In their newly-released joint EP, we get to see this unlikely duo pair up and crossover into each other’s world. With Kenarri not being a stranger to DKM, we get to see her in a completely new light, as she shares the spotlight with her first cousin and shows off their unbreakable bond.
With this being a short offering at 3-tracks, this EP is very digestible. These days, attention spans are shorter than ever and they use it to their advantage to not scare off new listeners.
This EP is very comparable to a “sampler plate” from a restaurant, as it is a diverse combination of their versatile flows. Getting to witness how they balance their own individuality, without compromising their sound is what makes this project work. Tracks like “Can We Talk” & “Young asf” are on two completely different wavelengths, but give both artists a chance to play off their strengths.
With them being family, there isn’t a world where their undeniable chemistry wouldn’t work. There’s no doubt that this won’t be their last collaboration and we hope to see how much they evolved the next time around.
