Joey Bada$$ is kicking off 2025 with a bang, sparking conversations across the rap world. The Brooklyn rapper’s first two releases of the year have gone viral, catching the attention of both fans and critics.
To open the year, Joey dropped “The Rulers Back” a hard-hitting track that set the tone for what’s to come. He followed up with a new visual and track, “Sorry Not Sorry,” that has the internet buzzing.
On the track, Joey doesn’t hold back, taking subtle (or not-so-subtle) shots at other rappers and cities:
“N*ggas with attitudes mad in bigging up my city that’s something that I had to do”.
“Might delete later, I know Joey won’t”.
Many fans speculate these bars are directed at members of the so-called “Big 3” Kendrick & J.Cole
It’s clear that Joey is fully focused on his music in 2025, with no intentions of playing nice.
