Brooklyn Badmon Joey Bada$$ is back with a new record / visual to open up 2025, with a Conductor Williams produced track titled “The Rulers Back”.
The soulful production fits Joey’s flow perfectly. On the track Joey gives listeners and up date on his life while also popping his shit.
Joey also made the biggest statement in rap this year, with his bar “Too Much West Coast dick-lickin” while also referring to himself as the “King Of New York”.
Some people instantly jumped to say Joey was dissing the west coast, but to me he was just being competitive and challenging the East coast (specifically New York City) to step their game up because the West got rap on lock right now, with K Dot and Tyler having huge 2024’s.
Joey looks to be bringing a different vibe this year and I love the fact he linked up with Conductor Williams and hope to see more collabs from the two in the future.
