If you haven’t been paying attention to Fox BD, now might be the time to start. The West Memphis, Arkansas artist is starting to build some serious momentum, and his latest visuals are showing why he could be one of the next artists to come out of Arkansas and make some noise.
If you’re like me, you probably hear West Memphis and immediately think of Memphis, Tennessee. But no, we’re talking about West Memphis, Arkansas, where YTB Fatt has been putting on for the city and the state.
However, YTB Fatt isn’t alone. His twin brother, Fox BD, is also putting on for their town and family, and he is starting to make a name for himself in rap.
Fox BD has been slowly gaining a fanbase, collaborating with major artists and putting out tracks with high energy. I really started to pay attention to Fox BD when I heard “I’m Adapted.”
The song features great trap production as Fox BD talks about his environment, how he has adapted to it, and how he has made it his domain. The energy on the track immediately caught my attention, and the visual gives the song even more life.
While checking out that visual, I stumbled across the newly released visual for “Pharmacy R Us,” featuring Detroit’s Babyface Ray.
The track features a more spaced-out type of trap production with high synths throughout. However, Fox BD toned his energy down some to match the vibe of the track and Babyface Ray’s mellow flow. It’s a different side of Fox BD compared to “I’m Adapted,” but that’s what makes the two visuals work well together.
And people are starting to take notice.
Fox BD is closing in on 500,000 combined views between “I’m Adapted” and “Pharmacy” in under two weeks, which is no small feat for any artist. Especially for a newer artist who is still building his own identity while his twin brother, YTB Fatt, continues to rise as well.
What stands out to me about Fox BD is that he doesn’t seem to be relying solely on the connection to his brother. He’s putting out his own music, creating his own sound and slowly building his own fanbase.
West Memphis, Arkansas continues to show that there is talent coming out of the area, and Fox BD is starting to look like one of the next artists to watch.
Fox BD is definitely an artist to keep your eyes on!
