Shaddi G Rolls The Dice on “Welcome To The Cartel”

Shot by Sha Pope

To start the year right, NJ-based rapper, Shaddi G. has returned with a newly-released project titled “Welcome To The Cartel.” At only 19 years old, he checks all the boxes for an incredible rap album. Produced entirely by one of his go-to producers, GLA, it has an energy that is difficult to deny.

Made up of 7-songs, there are a lot of different vibes that we see presented in this album. For him to only be a couple of years in his career, it’s really dope to see that he isn’t afraid to take so many creative risks, especially the ones that invoke the feeling of nostalgia. Tracks like “Drose” featuring fellow NJ-rapper, Poundside Pop really take me back to the old days when mixtapes were king.

It’s very apparent that Shaddi G put in a ton of work/did his homework for this project, and you can hear the results in his polished sound.
