Atlanta-based rapper/RIAA Gold-certified producer, SK808 is back with a new single of his own titled, “Japanese Britches.” So much more than a producer, this single is a gentle reminder that SK808 can’t be boxed in.
Produced by TrippyLeak, it is always a pleasure to hear some soul-infused Detroit-influenced production. It makes no sense that SK808 is as talented as a lyricist while simultaneously being such a heavy-hitter producer. The intensity that he brings, makes you feel like he’s literally rapping like his life depends on it.
When asked about the creation of “Japanese Britches,” he shares, “I had already done like 2 references and I just went in there and every word just came out flowing. I was vibing hard that night. If you get fly and get high, this (song) is for you!”
This won’t be the last we hear from SK808 on the rap side, and we are genuinely hoping for a full-length project from him in 2025.
