New emerging underground artist Ian may have dropped the most anticipated underground rap album of 2024, with Valedictorian (Deluxe).
Ian has been gaining traction in the underground music scene however in 2024 he blew up! Maybe due to the music sounding good and maybe due to the fact that he was a suburban white boy dressed like he is a character in American Pie.
Ian is chip off the block of underground sensations, Yeat, Summrs, and Autumn. Theresa flows and production are very similar and the vibe is the same.
The difference between Ian and the others is he’s the new hotness. Linking with Quavo and even having those on Twitter asking if he’s a CIA rap plant (
Valedictorian (Deluxe) is honestly my first time listening to Ian, and I was presently surprised. If you’re looking for lyrics you might as stop reading now because that’s not what this project is. However it’s a continuation of a growing sound in the underground.
It’s hard to tell if Ian will be a flash in the pan or a new face in the “underground” scene.
My personal favorite tracks include: Bentayga, Hermes Sheets, and Magic Johnson.
My main takeaway from the project is Ian hasn’t developed his own sound yet, but is riding the wave of unground trends set before him. However the top tier production and mixing of Ian’s tracks does separates his sound from the rest of the underground. The project is what I feel we can expect from new underground artist moving forward.
