There’s no question that Lil Yachty has cemented himself as someone you can’t count out (no pun intended.) Every time someone tries to write him off, he finds a way to reinvent himself. Now that he’s reached “boss status,” he’s in a position to help other artists chase their dreams, resulting in an absolute full-circle moment.
Recently, Lil Yachty officially launched Concrete Recordz, a joint venture record label with Quality Control. It’s an understatement to say Yachty and QC have had a fruitful relationship over the years. But to see them help Lil Boat become a record label executive is incredible, to say the least.
He now has the opportunity to nurture the talent of young artists like Karrahbooo, DC2Trill, Draft Day, and Camo! Along with the announcement, comes a new track/video titled “Family Business.” With this track, Yachty calls upon assistance from his proteges, Karrahbooo & Camo! Like the great leader, he is, Yachty sets the tone and the others just have to follow in line for this song to hit.
If “Family Business” or their Christmas release, “MO JAMS” passed the vibe test, then you should definitely be excited about their album. Something tells me that Yachty will allow the other members to be in the spotlight and receive their overdue shine. This can either go really well or be slightly underwhelming, nevertheless we will be tuned in.
