Philmore Greene | Redolent Love Letter to Chicago
Sport’s jerseys, dope kicks, and hometown homage are staples traditional to Hip-Hop. Paying homage to his hometown with a new visual is Chicago’s own Philmore Greene. Titled “All That I Know,” the new visual for the Rashid Hadee produced track premiered on stupidDOPE. Featured on his third solo album Knowledge & Power… Greene takes viewers on a trip through Chicago from the 60’s to the 90’s, an era of hard times and grit encased in beauty and city lights.

This video was truly a labor of love. The energy of the visual stems from real life experiences and stories from the city of broad shoulders, Chicago. On behalf of all the voiceless and forgotten I present ‘All I Know’ Peace and Blessings.”

Placing Hatred & Instigating Last Makes Obstacles Really Effortless
Systemic oppression is another unfortunate “staple” to minority cultures and commonly woven into the bars of Hip-Hop. “All That I Know” serves as a letter penned to a hurt but hopeful community. He spliced together clips showcasing police brutality, gangs, and political corruption. But did not forget to leave out the renaissance moments of dancing, success, and unity.
Greene: Grow Righteously Everyday Expect Nothing Equal
Philmore Greene is unearthing a style and appreciation for lyricism seemingly confined to the underground. Spending years honing his craft, the emcee draws inspiration from influences indicative to Hip-Hop’s Golden Era. Growing up on the west side of Chicago brought lessons and life experiences seamlessly turned into wordplay on his tracks. Since the debut of his mixtape in 2018, he has unleashed a slew of heavy-hitters. A well received sophomore album led to the sharing of stages with industry icons Raekwon, Havoc, Jadakiss, and more. Nonetheless a student of the game… Greene is resurfacing the loved grit, grime, and straight-up rhymes of old-school Hip-Hop.
Greene’s newest album is available on all platforms now. Now please enjoy his visual college of a gritty, yet golden history .
