Cory Gunz Ends Seven Year Hiatus With New Visual “Different”
Peter Cory Pankey, Jr., better known by his stage name “Cory Gunz” is a rapper from the Bronx, New York. In 2010, Cory was signed to Young Money Records. He first appeared on the original version of Lil Wayne’s “A Milli” track. However, Cory’s big moment came on Wayne’s “6 Foot, 7 Foot” . Cory Gunz most recently appeared on Lil Wayne’s No Ceilings 3.
A true lyricist with a vicious flow, Cory has garnered over 1 million streams worldwide and has collaborated with a variety of artists such as, Rihanna, Busta Rhymes, Nipsey Hussle, and more. Cory Gunz has been MIA on the Hip-Hop scene for 7 years. Today, he breaks that hiatus with new track/visual “Different”.
When I first heard the track, I immediately thought of aliens. It gave me an extraterrestrial vibe, which made me think of the title ‘Different,’. For the video, I was inspired by Busta Rhymes’ ‘Put your hands where your eyes could see.’ When you start to add in visual effects and stop motion, it can be cool or creepy. I like that.”

Directed by Upstate Groove, the video creatively ties in visual and stop motion effects with Gunz verses.
The video release comes days ahead of his “Tims and Hoodies” mixtape release (March 3), which will be his first project release since 2014.
