ROGÉT CHAHAYED Nominated For Multiple Grammys At 63rd Annual Awards
Rogét Chahayed, ends his 2020 with a Best Rap Song nomination for “Laugh Now Cry Later” by Drake and Lil Durk, at the upcoming 63rd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony.
Responsible for the underlying horns and piano of Drake’s record-breaking hit (Billboard Hot 100 #2 debut), the nomination marks his second Grammy nom of his career, his first for Best Rap Song on Travis Scott & Drake’s 2018 phenomenon, “Sicko Mode.”
Having become one of the driving forces behind the production of some of the greatest songs to define the last decade, Rogét’s production and songwriting has helped sell over 30 million+ copies in the US alone, and he shows no signs of slowing down.
“I’m incredibly grateful to be nominated again and see my name next to so many of my friends and heroes,” says Chahayed. “Thanks to the artists, producers and songwriters who I got to work with on these special records for including me in their projects.”
In addition to Chahayed’s nomination for Best Rap Song, Nas’ King’s Disease earned a nod for Best Rap Album (Rogét produced “27 Summers” and “Blue Benz”); Big Sean and Nipsey Hussle’s collab “Deep Reverence” earned Best Rap Performance (Rogét is credited as a producer and songwriter); and “Laugh Now Cry Later” earned a second nomination for Best Melodic Rap performance.
