CHARLIE PUTH SHARES SAM FELDT REMIX OF “LEFT AND RIGHT (FEAT. JUNG KOOK OF BTS)”
Charlie Puth released Sam Feldt’s remix to his single Left and Right, featuring JUNG KOOK of BTS. Left and Right is Charlie’s highest charting debut single to date. With over 250 million streams.
The video has gained over 170 million views on youtube since its June release.
After such success, what better than to make it a party song? Dutch DJ Sam Feldt remixed the pop song and made it EDM. Electronic Dance Music is for everyone, undoubtedly one of the best genres of music to get the party going.
This remix brings me back to the 2013 pop/EDM era of music—the era of Flo-Rida, Calvin Harris, and David Guetta. The song has a nostalgic vibe, and you can hear the vocals bounce from one ear to another, left then right. “I can feel you over here, I can feel you over here” the lyrics bounce from ear to ear. Maybe a coincidence? The trance like vibe and airy ambience is what makes the song addictive.
The build-up before the chorus hits is what makes this remix more exciting. As if it wasn’t already a hit, Sam Feldt put his twist on the song and turned it into a summertime festival hit. A fist pump kind of vibe!
BTS is one of the biggest international acts out right now. It is a significant play to collaborate with them. A remix to a huge song only keeps the music alive. Sam Feldt has a history of creating EDM remixes and has worked with plenty of artists such as Rita Ora, Kesha, and Demi Lovato, to name a few.
Charlie’s self-titled album CHARLIE is set to release on October 7th.
