Rick Hyde Drops Visualizer for “Alone” Ft. Benny the Butcher and G Herbo
Black Soprano Family member Rick Hyde premiered the visualizer for the song “Alone” featuring Benny the Butcher and G Herbo, the latest single off of his forthcoming LP “Plates 2.”
The video features a compilation of scenes from each rapper’s past music videos that cuts between regular footage and a colorful, warped version of them. The track itself shows each artist rap about their traumatic pasts, hustling through it, and their current success.
The DJ L Beats produced instrumental fits the dark subject matter with its minor-key piano loop interlaced with a pitched-up vocal sample. It’s definitely a smooth East Coast gangster rap beat. The gritty verses from Rick, Benny, and Herbo as well as the hard-hitting beat leave a lot to look forward to from Hyde’s upcoming project.
Plates 2 will feature guest appearances from Westside Gunn, Ferg, Skyzoo, and more as well as production by The Alchemist, Harry Fraud, Daringer and the late DJ Shay.
