WATEVA Releases The Lead Single Off Of Their Forthcoming Debut Album Disposable Society

Hailing from Tallinn, Estonia, electronic music producers Hugo Martin Maasikas and Kris Evan Säde make up the electronic duo WATEVA. They met in 2016, tired of Drum n Bass, eager to experiment with something raw and different. Leading to a new House project called WATEVA, which represents their freedom to make something weird and unique. An output to create “whatever” comes to their minds.

Although many in the US may have never heard of the duo, they have already reached massive success in their home country of Estonia.  Their track “Until We Die” ft. Next to Neon released via Armada charted on iTunes’s Dance chart a peak position of #1 and on Apple Music at #3 in their home country.

With a new album expected to drop in August, WATEVA’s new single “Headlights” is here.  The lead single “Headlights” ft. Stefan, (who is also an Estonian artist) was inspired by the effects that quarantine has on mental health and how isolation brought on emotions of fear, stress, and detachment.

Headlights was probably the hardest track to make on this album, as we had about 50+ revisions made of this one. ‘’In your silence’’, this talks about how you don’t wanna be alone during this mentally tough time we had during 2020 and 2021. You just want to be with someone even if it is in complete silence.

The Duo Explains

To accompany the single, WATEVA released a unique lyric video for the track Marten Sion (who also created the artwork.)
