Quis Chandla’s “The Soul Needs Healing” Is Needed For 2020
Hailing from Jersey City, NJ, the variety of Quis Chandla’s headwear extends far beyond rap music. By day, his professional attire is figuratively accented by the tam he wears after earning his PhD in 2018. He earns a living for himself as a college professor in the same impoverished New Jersey communities he grew up in.
By night, Quis switches headwear and displays an incredible lyrical skillset. Making him one of Jersey’s best emcees. His aggressive style is heavily East Coast influenced and is used to deliver deep imagery and concepts that draw from his personal experiences. The Soul Needs Healing EP, is a follow up from his 2019 Sophomore Album Coffee and Chemtrails. As an advocate of mental health, this new project captures perseverance during a devastating 2020 year, navigating mass losses of life, a pandemic and social issues such as police brutality all under a 365-day span. This project is exclusively produced by The Hitsystem.
A special favorite on the EP “Protect Our Queens”, which this phrase has been a topic of discussion in regards to Breonna Taylor and Megan Thee Stallion.
