Baltimore Non-Profit Pure Potential Enterprises Teams Up with Gwen Carr, Nadia Fischer + more for National Voting Awareness Campaign ‘VOTE #BecauseTheyMatter’

Black women have always been at the forefront of every fight for social justice in the United States and the historical upcoming election will be no different. Baltimore non-profit organization Pure Potential Enterprises, Inc. has teamed up with Gwen Carr ( the mother of Eric Garner) and Social Justice publicist, Nadia Fischer to encourage all US citizens to vote.

#BecauseTheyMatter digs into the history of the African American socioeconomic struggle and the countless lives lost at the hands of the justice system due to police brutality. You’re reminded of why we vote and what ancestors had to encounter to have the right to do so. The video reminds all that citizens have the power to inflict change, locally and nationally, by voting.

Directed and produced by Delanee-Alexis Coley of Pure Potential Enterprises, Inc. and features Gwen Carr, & Nadia Fischer. The video also features students and graduates of Morgan State University, North Carolina A&T State University, Texas Southern University, Towson University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and more.
