Baratunde Thurston Launched New Podcast “HOW TO CITIZEN WITH BARATUNDE” In Partnership With iHeartRadio.

Baratunde Thurston launched his new podcast HOW TO CITIZEN WITH BARATUNDE in partnership with iHeartRadio. HOW TO CITIZEN WITH BARATUNDE reimagines the word “citizen” as a verb and reminds us how to wield our collective power. Voting, while critically important, simply isn’t enough.

About The Podcast

Baratunde Thurston is an Emmy-nominated host who has worked for THE ONION, produced for THE DAILY SHOW, advised the Obama White House and wrote the New York Times bestseller HOW TO BE BLACK. He’s the executive producer and host of a new weekly podcast on iHeartRadio, HOW TO CITIZEN WITH BARATUNDE, as well as WE’RE HAVING  A MOMENT, which CNET called “the most important podcast of 2020.” He’s also the creator / host of the weekly pandemic show, LIVE ON LOCKDOWN. In 2019, he delivered what MSNBC’s Brian Williams called “one of the greatest TED talks of all time.” Right now, the writer, activist and comedian is using his powerful voice to help people understand this revolutionary moment with his unique blend of insight, humor, and empathy.

Episode 6: MAKING WORK WORK FOR EVERYONE is out now. In this episode, Baratunde explores work—the value of our work, what it means, who it benefits, and how to shift the balance of power back to workers themselves.
