Grammy Nominated R&B Trio The Hamiltones Drop New Visual For “Serious”
The Hamiltones are North Carolina natives J. Vito, Tony Lelo, and 2E. The soul trio’s name was born from their work as backup vocalists for Grammy-winning R&B/Soul artist Anthony Hamilton.
The trio transitioned to stars with last year’s Watch The Ton3s EP. Making major strides in 2019 with a well-received debut project, and a late night TV performance on The Late Night With Stephen Colbert. The Hamiltones continued to build on their momentum this year with the release of Watch The Ton3s (The B Side) in February.
They are back with a new visual for their latest track “Serious” from their latest project.
“‘Serious’ was created for anyone who wants a true and honest relationship. Most times the scenario is generally, the woman wanting a serious relationship or marriage. Not often do you hear the male perspective as such. This song is for that person that wants to give all of themselves to a person but emphasizes, I want that all in return, hence ‘Serious’.”

Directed by The Last American B-Boy, “Serious” follows The Hamiltones’ live streaming performances for Come Hear North Carolina’s ‘Under One Roof’ benefit concert festival that raised money to support artists across North Carolina whose work has been disrupted by COVID-19. The Hamiltones were also included in the lineup for this year’s virtual EnoFest, as well as Poder NC Action’s recent digital concert for the launch of its voter turnout campaign.
The Hamiltones are donating a percentage of all sales of their Relief Package to the United Way of Atalanta, a non-profit that is “focused on addressing the systemic issues that put Greater Atlanta at the bottom of the list of U.S. cities in terms of opportunity and mobility for low-income children…” The package includes physical copies of both Watch The Ton3s EPs, an exclusive T-Shirt, and a Watch The Ton3s DVD with exclusive behind the scenes footage.
